Good morning to ya:) from beautiful Montata!!!!!!
This is what I thought Montana would look like. Oh man. Plains leading up to foothills, to gorgeous snow capped mountains!!!
Yesterday we made our way to Missoula, the Adventure Cycling headquarters. We were there about 7:00 p.m., but there were people meandering about. We decided not to bother them, but Anthony did get his picture in front of the sign.
Anthony rode his bike to the Orlando area last year, and took a tour training class from them for a few days, and one day would like to lead a few tours for them. We are not sure how competitive those jobs are, but Anthony would be awesome doing that.
Afterwards we were looking for a city park and found one. When we got out, there was a woman hollering from across the street, LARRY DAVID, LARRY DAVID, ARE YOU LARRY? Anthony shook his head, and said no. And she said, are you telling the truth? If you are Larry David, I am going to come over there and pounce on you. Then she looked at me and said, is that Larry David? I said, no, but he does get that sometimes.
What do you think? Anthony, though, is much better looking.
When Anthony was a few years younger, okay about 25 years younger, my brother was watching Raising Arizona and called us laughing saying Anthony looked like Nicholas Cage. He has gotten that over the years also.
I did say it was a few years ago, didn't I? They both had a bit more hair then.
We found our next camping spot.
Looks like an RV park, but also has a dual function as a WalMart parking lot. Crazy, huh?
We thought we would have to do stealth camping in the parking lots, but some people really make themselves at home.
Please notice the chairs. I saw them outside sitting in their chairs reading later. Too funny. We are wondering how many days you can stay before you are kicked out, because these people look like they have been there awhile.
Our next van will look like this:
This is Roger, and his wife's name is Ellen/Helen?? Anyway, they are from Pennsylvania and have been on the road for five weeks and covered about 5000 miles, and are heading back home. They were going to cross Canada, but said that if you can't read French, that the navigating was difficult. Also, in certain cities, they had ordinances that you couldn't park in the parking lots, and once was told to move. His theory was that the city councilmen had campgrounds around and wanted you to have to use those. Hmmmm. Could be.
We covered about 450 miles yesterday and didn't stop much, so there's not much to show about our trip, but wanted to show you what our dashboard looks like most of the time.
This is how we dry out our dish rags/towels. They get a front seat view of our adventures also.
Can I just give out another shout out to McDonalds for their wifi, and public restrooms. We just stopped at one, had some round eggs and sausage, and got to brush our teeth too. I wondered if they would have minded if I shaved my legs in the sink, but I draw the line there. . . At least for now.
