Heading South on the Florida West Coast

Well, it took me until Wednesday, February 4th to not be able to stand the heat. I officially turned on our van air conditioner at 1:09 p.m. We found 80 degrees in Naples, FL, and made our way to the beach and found people actually in bathing suits sunbathing. All of the beaches north of here had a few people on the beach, but we were all in jackets.

Here are a few beach pictures we have taken this past week (it was last Wednesday when we started this trip).

Clearwater Beach:

Got to spend a little time at IKEA in Tampa:)

We found the manatees at The Big Bend Power Station, Apollo Beach.

I had to take the next picture and send it to my sister in law, Traci, because we went there, what seems like an eternity ago, to go to a tennis camp. It was fun and a treat for sure.

I had to take the next picture in Sarasota because it reminds us of Anthony's sister and her family.
They have a sailboat (that they renovated) docked in Pensacola and Charles, the brother in law, is retiring from teaching in May, and they are taking a year to sail around Florida and up the East Coast with their granddaughter. How fun!!

Venice Beach, FL, Brrrrrrrrrrrr.

Thought this tree was interesting enough to share.

And last but not least, Anthony hanging out at the Fountain of Youth. We didn't go in.  We probably should have.
