Seattle

We are very excited to be in Seattle with the group of adults and students who are involved in Seattle's Summer In The City ministry. Alyssa has been here since June 18th, and we have missed her.
What is also exciting is that Hannah saw this as possibly her only opportunity to hang out with all of us in Seattle, so she decided to drive here before she is heading back to Chattanooga, so now there are four more Green's in Seattle than there were before.

So, of course, we wanted to get our picture taken with the iconic Space Needle, so our very own local who has been here for three summers now, Alyssa, knew the exact place for a great picture, I believe it was called Kerry Park. so we took some great shots:
So we were standing on the side of a hill, when the person taking the picture said it might be good if we switch places, so we did, and this was a bit better:
That does look a bit better, huh?

And then we got the sisters:
Hannah lovin on Alyssa picture:
And then this:
I love this one^

Just a picture of the Seattle skyline:

Later our tour guide took us for a tour of Fremont, where we had to get our picture with another icon, the Fremont Troll.
You know, just two sisters touring Seattle:
We also got to stroll through the Fremont Sunday Market:
I am not sure why everyone looks squatty in this picture.

And we were fascinated by the draw bridge.
And then we got to sit down and rest for a bit and check our cell phones:
This man cracks me up.

We also got to drive downtown and walked through Pikes Place. It was late, so we didn't get to see the Market, but I did get the picture I wanted in front of the original Starbucks.

The next morning Alyssa had her duties as Cru staff, and the rest of us took an opportunity to get on our bikes and ride.
Drawbridge again.

Along the route we found this cool bike shop, and Anthony looked like a kid in a candy store:
Wow, I have never seen this many bikes in one place. And this was the toilet paper holder in the bathroom:

We all rode to Kenmore around Lake Washington, and ate lunch there at a Thai restaurant.
And Anthony decided to go beast on us and continue on while Hannah and I turned around and headed back. Hannah and I rode about 32 miles, and Anthony made it to Redmond, and he rode about 60 miles.

Today Hannah and Anthony took off on their bikes, and I am getting to help prepare for supper tonight. I truly admire all the people who take on such a task as these Cru ministries have. But the effect that it has on the students and the people who they are working with, and especially my two daughters, is so monumental. I am so grateful.
